Sham Shui Po Kindergarten Rankings 2026

By need: for primary-progression results, private Learning Habitat (The Sparkle); to progress to its own primary, Tsung Tsin (many to Tsung Tsin Primary); for a caring, non-pressured approach, Kowloon Rhenish; for resources and dual homeroom teachers, Yau Yat Chuen; for international bilingual, Aristle International. See our Sham Shui Po rankings.

Private schools are few (5), but there are standouts. Learning Habitat (The Sparkle) has posted strong primary-progression results — parents call the principal "especially driven" and praise its admissions and emotional support; Aristle and Think (Nam Cheong) run international curricula. The long-established Tsung Tsin (1897) has a primary section that most kindergarten pupils progress into, though parents say it is not guaranteed, the primary chases Band 1A standards, and entry still needs outside tutoring. Choice for a private or international route is limited but of solid quality.

Yes, and they are the mainstream. 47 schools (84%) join the Free Scheme with no tuition, and Kai Bo, Salvation Army Pak Tin, Li Cheng Uk and PLK Leung On Kee are among the A++-rated names. Yau Oi Tsuen School is facility-rich (a short running track, climbing wall, daily outdoor time and show-and-tell); parents call it a "dual-homeroom, happy school," though it is academically light and reaching beyond needs family effort. Kowloon Rhenish is nurturing and not pushy, suiting active children.

From free to about $114,000. The 47 Free-Scheme schools charge nothing for half-day; local private half-day runs roughly $2,740 to $86,400; international/non-local schools $53,200 to $79,200. Free-Scheme participation is the biggest divide, and overall fees are moderate-to-low for Kowloon.

Sham Shui Po has 56 kindergartens: 47 (84%) join the Free Scheme, 25 offer PN (nursery, age 2) classes, and 4 run non-local curricula. It is one of Kowloon's highest Free-Scheme-coverage districts.
