Editorial and Corrections Policy

These standards explain how we produce practical, source-led kindergarten information and how readers can challenge or correct it.

Editorial principles

  • Use official or first-party sources for factual claims whenever available.
  • Separate reported facts from rankings, summaries and editorial interpretation.
  • State dates, school years and important limitations where they affect meaning.
  • Avoid presenting advertising, sponsorship or commercial services as independent editorial findings.

Sources and verification

For school facts we prioritise Education Bureau records, official school websites, prospectuses and published fee documents. Policy guides use the responsible government department or other primary source where available. A single source may be incomplete, so records can be cross-checked before publication.

Automation and translation

Automated tools may assist collection, extraction, comparison, translation and formatting. Automated output is not treated as an authority: source links and structured fields are checked through the site’s editorial and data-validation workflow before public use. English text may be translated or normalised from Chinese source material; the original source remains controlling if wording differs.

Rankings and recommendations

Rankings and comparisons are editorial tools, not official league tables. Pages should explain the factors used and should not imply that one school is universally best for every child. Paid consultation or report services do not change the factual school records shown in the public directory.

Corrections and updates

Send correction requests to [email protected] with the page URL, the field in question and a supporting official source. We review material errors and update the public record when the evidence supports a change. Significant corrections should update the page date; minor spelling or formatting fixes may not receive a separate notice.
