Preparatory Years (PY1-PY2) online application, 1 Sep 2025–30 Sep 2026. PY1 is the entry point with the most applications and most students continue to Secondary; PY2 places are very limited. Applications received on/before 30 Sep 2026 get guaranteed assessments. Singapore citizens/PRs may apply late (subject to places); non-Singaporeans applying late are assessed only if a place surfaces. Sun Island Kindergarten (All Branches)

Rolling applications all year with no distribution limit. For 27/28, submissions accepted from 1 Jan 2026 (only children meeting the age requirement; forms submitted too early are invalid and must be re-submitted). Submit in person at a branch / via online enrolment / by downloading and returning in person or by post (no email or fax). Enrollment fee HK$40 (application is only confirmed and an interview arranged after payment; non-refundable); a separate fee is payable for each branch applied to. Documents: one 1.5×2 inch half-length photo, birth certificate copy, Family Health Service injection record copy (PN must include the 1.5-year immunisation record), four stamped addressed envelopes, address proof copy.

FAQ

What is "Big B" and "Small B"?▼
Big B refers to children born early in the year (Jan-Apr), who are older at enrollment. Small B refers to those born late in the year (Sep-Dec), who are younger. Since classmates can differ by nearly a year in age, Big B children are typically more developmentally mature.
Can I apply to multiple kindergartens?▼
Yes, you can apply to multiple kindergartens, but you can only register at one. Each child receives only one "Kindergarten Admission Registration Certificate" - this is the "one certificate, one school" principle.
What if I miss the application period?▼
After the unified registration dates (Jan 8-10), you can inquire about remaining places at kindergartens from late January. Some schools accept applications year-round.
How to choose between PN and K1?▼
PN class (Pre-Nursery) helps children adapt to school earlier, typically accepting 2-year-olds. Some schools give priority admission to K1 for their PN students. K1 is the start of formal kindergarten curriculum, with enrollment age of 2 years 8 months.
