Its selling point is not internationalisation but "universal free tuition plus solid grassroots community schools": On Keung, PLK Fong Tam Yuen Leung (Tsz Wan Shan) and Diamond Hill Ling Liang are among the A++-rated names, with Sisters of the Immaculate Heart (Wong Tai Sin) and Evangelize China Fellowship Lok Fu rated A+. The district's only non-free school, Good Hope Primary School cum Kindergarten (founded 1954), is its most prestigious — an established girls' school with daily native-English teaching and a rich academic programme; parents cite large-class teaching and a competitive edge for primary admissions.
