🎯 Teaching Approach

At YCIS, children are guided by teachers to learn through play, as they explore, discover and process knowledge. Language, literacy, art and music elements are integrated into the curriculum, to support character formation and nurture independence. YCIS creates stimulating, child-centred and play-based learning environments in a bilingual setting, and children are nurtured by our Western and Chinese Co-Teachers. Our violin programme starting at the age of four supports an early embracement of music. Co-Teachers build a portfolio per child to record their individual development path and ensure holistic learning for every individual.

Our Student Support Services team works closely with teachers, families, and community professionals to identify individual needs and provide comprehensive support.

👨‍👩‍👧 Parent Activities

To support our strong home-school partnership, we run workshops and community events for parents, grandparents and caregivers as part of our programme. Apart from the online individual learning documentation throughout the year and an end-of-year report, parent-teacher consultations will be held regularly to maintain close communication with parents.
