📚 Curriculum
We are dedicated to promoting the “3C Curriculum” that focuses on nurturing children’s communication, collaboration, and creativity competence. Through the power of play, we inspire children to actively explore and engage in self-directed learning. Our curriculum development is grounded in evidence-based research to enhance the trustworthiness and sustainable quality of learning and teaching. In recent years, we have integrated the 3C concepts with life education, embracing a collaborative approach involving families, the school, and communities to cultivate kindness, goodwill, and virtuous actions. Our aim is to shape a new generation with empathy and a benevolent attitude. We adopt a trilingual teaching approach, which involves teaching in the home-language as well as using English specialist teachers and foreign English teachers to teach English. We also arrange for teachers whose home-language is Mandarin to teach Mandarin. Beyond home-language instruction, we create an immersive and high-quality trilingual environment where children can enhance their language and communication skills. This approach lays a solid foundation for their future transition to primary school. We place a strong emphasis on enriching children’s musical experiences and fostering a vibrant musical atmosphere within our kindergarten. We design creative music activities that revitalize our music classrooms. These activities not only bring joy but also nurture children’s artistic literacy. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
🎯 Teaching Approach
The “child-centered” “3C Curriculum” focuses on the construction of experience and integrated learning. Class activities are carried out through “play” in an integrated approach. According to children’s characteristics, teachers create a rich and lively environment and design meaningful scenarios relating to children's life to help them explore and think in depth. We aim to help children acquire firsthand experience in activities and provide them the opportunity to explore freely with ample time via diversified and interactive learning environment, so as to stimulate their creativity and improve their communication and collaboration abilities.
🤝 Student Support
New students adaption programme is provided to help them gradually adapt to the school life. For helping K3 students adapt to primary school life, we design activities for the interface between kindergarten and primary school . We engage school social workers, organize parent education activities and provide professional coaching.
👨👩👧 Parent Activities
We are committed to becoming a partner of the parents. We regularly hold parents’ meetings, parent class observation, seminars & workshops and parent-child activities and publish parent newsletter. Our teachers also keep a close communication with parents, for we hope to work together with the parents to foster the healthy growth of their children.
