📚 Curriculum
The child-centred curriculum is designed in accordance with young children's experiences, development and abilities. Play-based and an integrated approach are employed to help children attain comprehensive and balanced development in language, social, emotion, physical, cognitive domains, while also fostering their creativity and instilling virtues of good citizenship. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
🎯 Teaching Approach
We value the development of cognitive and perceptual-motor skills to stimulate the potential of young children's perceptual brains, which establish a foundation for learning. In teaching and learning, we emphasize ''learning through play'' and adopt a holistic language-based approach. We utilize a variety of project-based activities to enhance children's active learning and develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. We also cultivate their interest in reading and the reading habit at an early age. In our daily routines, we incorporate life skills training which includes self-care, environmental care, and caring for others. This enables children to learn independence, fostering their sense of responsibility and confidence.
