VISION Our vision is to ensure that each child is given a solid foundation of learning, which instils a sense of self-confidence and self-belief. MISSION Anfield is an international Catholic school, where all are committed to creating a loving and joy-filled environment that is inspired by Jesus Christ. Anfield is a culturally diverse environment where all children are challenged, both academically and spiritually. In support of our vision, mission and goals, Anfield has developed personal attributes to represent the characteristics that we look to see within our well-rounded learners. These attributes, spelling out ANFIELD, can be seen in all areas of life throughout our 4 campuses. The Anfield Attributes are used as a learning tool to support children in aiming high and recognising the qualities that make them who they are. The creative and fun attribute characters have been designed and chosen by our primary students. This helps our children to remember the individual qualities and encourages them to identify with their particular characteristics. We believe the Anfield Attributes are recognisable in all of our staff, students and parents, demonstrating the best of our Anfield family.

Learning Through Play Every play opportunity is an opportunity to learn. Play underpins the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and provides the basis of our learning at Anfield International Kindergarten and Nursery. Playing and exploring is a key characteristic of effective learning. At Anfield, webelieve in providing a safe, rich and enabling environment that facilitates children’s learning development, ignites their creativity and develops a love for lifelong learning. We encourage children to be active learners and to interact with a wide range of stimulating and interesting resources through our continuous provision. Learning activities are carefully planned with clear aims in mind, where children can make independent choices and take the lead to explore, investigate and assimilate knowledge. Teachers are constantly engaged in the children’s play and support learning by asking open-ended questions and modelling vocabulary. We provide a versatile range of learning with specific areas, including: Role-play area Inquiry area Sensory exploration area Construction play area Through play, young children consolidate their understanding of the world. It is an excellent way for them to express themselves and build confidence and self-esteem. Through play, children will learn to take turns and understand the feelings of others, whilst developing their language and their problem-solving skills.
