📚 Curriculum
The child-centred approach is adopted. The curriculum is formulated according to children’s physical and psychological development and in line with children’s learning interest and needs. Self-directed learning is emphasized. The school curriculum includes the training of knowledge, skills and attitude. Various whole-language and stimulating activities are supported with diversified teaching approaches to promote learning and development of children so as to fulfil the objective of holistic development. Our school has organized The Boy's Brigade, Hong Kong in order to build up children's positive attitude in discipline through Christian uniformed group, with love in people and Jesus. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
🎯 Teaching Approach
Our school adopts an inspiring curriculum based on illustrated stories, with the goal of helping children develop the good moral values through real-world materials. The school’s curriculum is focused on the child’s individual developmental needs and learning abilities based on developmental stages, allowing children to learn in a pleasant and fun environment. The school has set up daily bilingual classes to help children enrich their language environment and increase their opportunities to use and be exposed to English. Foreign teachers work closely with local teachers to create a real-world learning experience for children through stories, games, songs, and other activities. The school has arranged specialist teachers in a wide range of subjects: PE, dance, music, and Mandarin language. Corner activities and free-play games driven by each child’s individual motivation allow them to choose their tools, ways to play, playmates, and activity areas, to encourage autonomy and independent learning. Through religious activities, our aim is to help children develop good character and strong values from an early age and encourage their holistic development.
