📚 Curriculum
We have established an appropriate and comprehensive curriculum with activities that follow the guidelines set out by the Education Bureau for curriculum development. Our curriculum involves the use of the child-centered approach whereby we use games based on the students interests and life experiences. We enable the children to learn through experiences which makes learning enjoyable and helps the learners to make their own decisions, take responsibility for their own learning and enhance their communication skills. Our program is designed to help the learners gain a balanced and all-round development allowing the learners to reach their full potential and develop their unique abilities. The program helps the learners to gain knowledge about morality and spirituality while developing their skills in ''morally, academically, physically, socially, aesthetically, and spiritually''. Five teaching philosophies have been set up: ''Keen on exploring'', ''Courage to face challenge'', ''Blissful Learning'', ''Confidence to serve others'', and ''Keep eyes on Jesus''. Through constructive learning activities, children can interact with others, enhancing their interest in learning. At the same time, based on the truth of the Bible, through Bible stories, sharing and games, we help students to build a good moral character. We will follow the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” (2017) to plan curriculum. Children of nursery classes will not be asked to write, and there will not be mechanical copying exercises and drills on calculation.
🎯 Teaching Approach
The teachers use different approaches to assess the learners, the two main approaches include the picture book learning and the project-based approaches. The teachers also apply the experimental approach so that the children can acquire new knowledge and learning experiences through action and participation. Last but not least the teachers use the mixed-age approach so that children can interact and learn from each other promoting social and leadership skills, include: Free Play, the internationally recognized Cambridge English courses, Gifted-Tour, Orff music teaching method, Language Learning through Storytelling and Wizefloor.
🤝 Student Support
Our professional teachers recognize individual differences in learning and attach importance to children's emotional expression. We also care for our students' families, promote a culture of parent-child care for communities, and hold regular diversified or outdoor activities and appreciation programmes. New students' admission arrangements e.g. new parents' meetings, adaptation experience classes and orientation week. K3 students’ bridging arrangements and central allocation parents' meeting, primary school visit.
👨👩👧 Parent Activities
Regularly invite parents to be volunteers to assist in school visits and sharing sessions. There are two parents’ days per academic year where parents can communicate with teachers and learn the progress of their children's education. Parents' gatherings will be held with interest classes and workshops. Parents can share experience through different activities.
